Reading Breaking the Vicious Cycle for the first time

The first time I started to read BTVC I had a bit of trouble getting
through the first chapters.  I usually read at night and my brain isn't always engaged.  Most of my reading is 'brain candy'.  So, I skimmed the first seven chapters, got a bit more involved with chapters eight and nine and when I got to the recipe section I was excited about the diet.  So excited that I read the recipes and in most cases didn't pay attention to the name of the recipe!!!
My copy of BTVC stays in or near the kitchen, kind of like a cookbook.  I plan to sit down and digest (pun intended) the book when my kids go back to school and I can think like a human being again.  I have a highlighter to mark things that I find informational to my own case. Don't be too hard on people if they have trouble with the book.  I am a visual learner.  I CAN learn from a book, but it is difficult.  I do a lot better if I can SEE something being done.  Maybe it's time for a video?

Elaine writes:

We could go on and on - the mystery becomes so convoluted that it may take 3 centuries to get a handle on it.  By that time all that survive with be the mutations among us who can survive the barrage of environmental  changes. Don't worry, just eat right and the immune system will have a chance to fight back.  And good old vitamin C will do as Pauling said - help protect us.
